...This wasn't any work that I had done. This happened with a previous owner of the car. Ever since I've had my car, the only issue I've had was the power driver's seat. When you pushed the button to move the seat forward, it goes backward; and vice-versa. AND right underneath the adjustable control pods, there appears to be a cigarette burn hole in the carpeting. Well, I ran the VIN # at my local NISSAN dealer to determine what warranty work was done on my car. Come to find out that the drivers seat control pod was replaced under warranty at just under 30,000 miles. I 'thought' that maybe the forward/back switch was just reversed and you could just remove the pod and flip the switch around. NOT!! The part that was replaced needs to have wires soldered back to it to perform properly. Here is what I surmise happened. When the NISSAN dealer replaced the part, they soldered the wires incorrectly, so forward is reverse; and reverse is forward. And, not only that, my guess is that it was HOT solder that dropped down and burned the carpet while they were replacing the part!! Buttwipes!! The car has never been smoked in. I know there must be some good NISSAN dealers somewhere!?!?!?!?!?
